Privacy policy

Whodoggit doesn’t collect or share personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics, in the app or on this website.

The app

• Your progress: solved cases, your current board, streaks and hints used are saved only on your iPhone.
• Your dog: if you add your own dog, you choose a photo and the sticker is cut out on your iPhone. The photo, the sticker, and your dog’s name and breed never leave your device.
• Reminders: daily reminders are scheduled on your iPhone; there is no server.
• Camera and photos: the camera is used only when you take a photo of your dog. When you pick a photo from your library, iOS gives the app only the photo you choose.

Purchases

The Dog Park and Whodoggit Complete are bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app only asks the App Store which purchases belong to your Apple Account. Apple’s privacy policy applies to the purchase.

This website

The website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: fonts and images come from our own server. The server runs at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. It logs the technical data every request needs (IP address, time, page, browser) to deliver the page and protect it from attacks, and deletes the log after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email

If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you and delete it when it’s no longer needed. Our email runs on Google Workspace.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at). Since we don’t store data about you, there is usually nothing to look up, but we’re happy to help.

Children

Whodoggit is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date.
